How to remove a clutch cable from a LSD

I have searched and found the how to on a RSD:

Do I need to remove the ball and ramp mechanism to remove the clutch cable?

or is there a way to remove the ferrels without removing the retaining ring and ramp mechanism

cant on mine... and be careful. my bike had some bullshit roadmax side cover (baker gear set Jims case and that cheesy cover) ... and it broke taking out the snap ring ... good thing was my bud had one.... get a GOOD pair of snap ring pliers....

X10!! Be careful with that dang snap ring. I broke two covers!! You almost have it out...than BAM, it slips off the pliers and that heavy duty snap ring snaps the cheap pot metal on the cover.

Well now I need a new transmission cover! Any idea what models fit our bikes ?found a bunch on eBay. Tommorow I am going to check the Harley dealership. And I need to replace my clutch cable too... Ouch.

It looks like your starting the long spiral downwards too..... seemed like I needed to replace everything I touched!! Not cause I'm a dumbass, but it was all needed. The previous owners liked to "kick the dog" I believe. Have fun and good luck. I know you can get a new cover from Baker. I think they are like $128? Not sure but I bet shovelheadkicker can get ya another Roadmax cheap??
