how to pull forks

i need to pull my forks to get new seals installed. i got the lowwer tripple tree bolts out but cant get forks down? i cant find any bolts on the top what do i do? its a 02 pitbull

I don't know if the 02 screwed in the tree or not have you checked that?

If you don't have bolts on the top of the trees then the forks probably screw in from the bottom as V says.

yea guess they screw in just can get them out dont want to use pipe wrench and jack up the fork so much for saving buck and pulling them my self

How about one of those rubber strap type of pipe wrenchs? If you dissaseble the tree like Gas did in his how to you could put it on the area where the lower triple tree clamps

Yeah try the rubber pipe wrench should work like a charm.

Or a few pieces of rubber hose and a pipe wrench. Worse case... you have to buy new tubes...

well shitty news. one came out once i took tripple tree loose. the othere was seized in upper tripple tree. took a damn pipe wrench to get it off and it still left tube cap on tree. so now i have some teeth marks to sand off tube at top. took them to local dealer and they could not get dust caps off to replace seals. so i have them checking to see if they can get dust caps. im going to put it back togther for weekend till i can figure something out on it
