Found something that cleans up the bottom end of the motor. Meguiar's All Wheel cleaner, has no acid in it, spray it on, and with a tooth brush work it a round. This is the hard part, as I know none of you like to get water on your bike, but you have to wash it off. Really took a lot of the grim off, making the motor look very clean.

Says clear coated and painted rims. Normally these products are acid base an will turn aluminum funky gray. But your saying it will not hurt the motor but clean it correct 6C53B650-7A78-46A8-97B7-0AB322A00216.png

That is the stuff, and I used it on my truck wheels first, and they came out looking brand new. So tried on my motor, really cleaned it up. Showed Josh at Gateway Cycles (was St. Louis Big Dog Dealer ship before Big Dog went out of business), who knows my bike as we talked about how to clean that part, he was really impressed with the turn out. He has some now. Used it on my Honda 1800 vtx wheels and they turned out looking new, and I have tried polishing them could never get them to look that good. They are not polished, as the chopper are, but the look like the just came of the showroom floor. That bike is 14 years old. Just try a small area a round oil filter, that way it easier to wash off without with out getting everything else wet. I am telling you it works you will be amassed. It did not dull any of my aluminum covers on the engine.

What Josh had told me to use had acid in it , so to really be careful with it. I had some of this that I tried on the truck wheels, read what it said it had in it, and used it on the bike. I will get a picture of what it turned out like tomorrow.

Found that the Wheel and Tire one seemed to work better, as I had both type. Neither one really did no hurt anything. Like I said just wiped things down, will polish everything tomorrow.

Oh I agree it will work getting road grime & oil off your motor. called today and asked some questions with technical support. It is an acid product so don’t get it on your billet aluminum. That is why the disclaimer use on rims with clear coat and paint

I sprayed on gear shift billet aluminum to check it out, washed it off after a couple of minute, wiped it down. Saw no damage, and polished it up looks great. I do not let the stuff dry, as then you have to respray as it will not wash off, that I found out on my truck wheels. Anyway just put it out there, in case someone was looking for a great cleaner.
