I over looked my name on the members list the first time I looked. i should have double checked it before posting the thread and making myself look like I owned a Honda or something other than a BigDog. Thx Loaf and thx for the reply on the hot engine question I had. This is my first bike so I'm green about bikes and what is normal or un-normal when it comes to the engine operation and what to expect or look for.

Anytime. There are a lot of people here with very helpful information. Seeing how you are in Texas, what part of Texas? Anyway, running an oil cooler probably would be a good idea. Me being in New England, and oil cooler isn't such a necessity.

I'm in north central Texas around Wichita Falls about 2 hours west/north west of Dallas. I'll check into the oil cooler....thx!

Yeah, been there a couple of times, Wichita Falls that is. I just spent six and a half months in San Angelo too. Not too bad of a place, but HOT.
