How much for a 2008 Ridgeback???

Guys,

I hate to do it but I am thinking of selling the Big Dog. I don't have time to ride it right now and am on a quest to be 100% debt free. You can see my bike in my avatar pic. It is an '08 Ridgeback, solid black with V&H 2 into 2 pipes, Arlen Ness air cleaner, 585 cam and diamond cut heads. I have the passenger seat, pegs, peg bracket, sissy bar and luggage rack also. It has 5000 miles on it and is absolutely immaculate on top and bottom. It will have a new back tire and the 5000 mile service done before I sell if I do. There isn't a scratch on the bike. It probably looks better than when it rolled off the showroom floor. If I sell it I will put it on here but will advertise it on ebay as my dad and I have sold a bunch of stuff with good luck on there. My question is, what do you guys think it will bring? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Thanks guys!!! That is exactly the range I was thinking. I am not going to pull the trigger until spring anyway. Not going to be many buyers in the winter. I am going to put steel braided fuel lines on, replace the back tire and give it the 5K mile TLC and then I will see how I feel in Feb/ March. I love the Dog but would love to be debt free more. If I sold it I would turn around before too long and buy a street glide that I could go crazy on.

I have known a few people who have tried to live debt free. they were miserable... watching every penny and very busy doing nothing. You have already taken the major hit on depreciation. If you are gainfully employed with no worries about the future of your employment, then allow yourself to enjoy your life. Trust me, in the blink of eye, years roll by... money comes and goes ... and suddenly you don't have the options you have now. I dont ride nearly as much as I would like due to working to damn much but I get almost as much enjoyment just looking at my bike. You will probably regret selling it but the lucky guy that buys it will appreciate the investment that you have already made and the immaculate condition that you painstakingly have kept it in. And why continue to put money in something that you are going to sell? And how is replacing it with a streetglide (which there is only about a 100,000 of them out there) getting you out of debt? Good luck in yor decision!

I hear you Craig but I will be debt free before too long and once I am there I am very fortunate in that I make enough money I will never have a payment other than our home. If I sold it I would pay cash for a bike in a couple years. My thoughts are exactly yours on the why not to sell. I would lose a lot if money and I like it just don't have time to ride. Like you said, I do enjoy just going out in the garage to look at it. Not doing anything til spring and by then will probably have talked myself out of it. Thanks for your input :cheers:

I agree with Denny with the price range in the 16 to 18K range. Especially, since you have the accessories which can be difficult to find.

It is going to be hard to replace in the future so I would hang on to it. I doubt you can build the same bike and have it go together without taking it apart a billion times.

I also like the way Craig thinks about being debt free. I can see how you could be miserable.:(

Dont sell it. I think you will regret that decision cut back on something else like cable tv and when you want to watch something go out in the garage crack open a beverage and watch the dog. Good luck on a tough call

I'm still paying on the '06 Pitbull I bought this past July or I'd make you an offer... I love my Pitbull, but would like to have a Ridgeback as well... especially with the 330 back tire!
