I got a question, who has the filthiest dog? Now that's a question. All these miles getting racked up on the dogs some must be riding in all sorts or weather.

My 2005 has 4500 miles. It was in the shop for 60 days total this summer and summer is rain season. Now it is geeting into winter and the bike nights and rides start. I am hoping to rack another 1000 by new year. My dog is clean, except for a few fleas!!

I remember that night all too well... 98 miles home with the OL on the back.
She don't like rain and that was her longest trip ever...
She was cussin the !@#$'s that were splashing water on us... I asked what they should have done. :loony:
Hit 1 pot hole covered with water and considered us very lucky on roads that I had never travelled.
Unfortunately, my rear fender is still fucked from the suction cups on the 2-up seat.
I am thinking that will get fixed when the wheel insurance fixes the dent in my fender from the blowout. :2thumbs:

I got 12,373 miles on my speedo, but 14,823 actual recorded on my ECH, due to the lag in time of previous replacement speedo's.(still haven't gotten my 10,000 mile patch?)

Funny thing is my "new improved speedo" did not log any miles on my way in to work this morning.
Read 0 mph, and could not change speedo over to the "trip odometer".
2nd time it has done that... it was below 40degree's out both times...
Wonder if the new speedo's hate the cold and water

Cutter, they come in 15,25,50,75 and 100 thousand miles.
You're almost there. When you get there just shoot BDM a message and someone will send them to you. It was Ron Seddon but he quite and I don't know his replacement. It's Shane I think in Tech Support.

Hi Cutter, just got my new speedo, and had the exact same thing happen. Called the dealer, and told the service manager, he said that issue is coming up allot. Anyway he said what you do to prevent it is when you turn the key on, and hit the run button, you will see the speedo go thru a little self test, give it a little bit to do the test. If you turn the key, and hit the run button then start button to soon you will have the exact problem that you experienced. In any case, I did what he said, and no problems since.

Hope that helps.

Some rep was in from BDM for a open house at my dealer while my bike was in for the speedo and exhaust bracket replacements.

It was right after the Easyrider rain run with my wife and they were "making fun of the dirtiest bike anyone had ever brought in"...:job:

He said that BDM would send me a 10,000 mile patch... now I know why it never came
I guess I can exhale

Thanks Reaper... I will pay attention to that... I thought I normally gave it plenty of time. :spank:

Hi Cutter, that is what I thought to. It seems maybe the new speedo takes a little longer to do it's self test. But when I gave it more time it quit doing it.

I always wait for it to cycle. Old habit from going through 8 speedo's! Have had no problems with the cold other than the fogging and I don't think that will get fixed. Just a matter of a sealed unit in cold weather. Never had a problem down south in warmer weather.

i've got the newer speedo also, i too found it take longer to cycle, even in fla you still have to live with the fog glass.

Anyone hear a reason or cure from BDM on the fog issue with the speedo? mine did it the first day -- guess I need to figure out how to open it and put a few bags of silica to dry things out. I wonder what long term damaged is happening inside. :)

Picked up my 2006 Mastiff in January of this year. Took it in for the 2500 mile service last Saturday, it now has approximately 2600 miles. Second speedometer, so actual mileage is off.

The Harley has just over 4000 miles in the same time. Seeing some of the numbers people are putting up I feel like a wimp
