21k on my 04 Pitbull. Just finished a total bike rebuild but only replaced the gaskets on the motor. Went with a WP unit. General maintenance other than that.

07 K-9 only 12K, broke the jack shaft on the starter but that was my own damn fault for applying throttle during starting. (I didn't have a manual yet. lol)

Then I cracked the the right side housing because I tried to tighten it without the clutch shaft properly seated.

Then I broke a fork seal from hitting a sharp bump on a bridge transition a bit too hard

Looks like I have been the single biggest problem with my BigDog!!! But I am learning. :D

'09 K9 with over 12,000 trouble free miles. I do keep up with all maintenance myself, mods include: 585 cam installed myself, V&H 2-2 exhaust and re-jet of carb, ridgeback bars, 4" forward control extensions prototyped by myself. NO ONE SCREWS WITH MY BIKE BUT ME!

78k on the chopper... too many problems to list, but who gives a shit! If you're gonna play, you're gonna pay!

13, 500 miles, bored, 600 cam , a few exhausts and intakes, up graded rockers and boxes to S&S after almost breaking a valve.

No real problems just reasons to upgrade shit!

15,250 on my 08 mutt since 1/10. 2 oil lines, 2 front wheels, fork seals, back brakes, tires, wireplus, voltage regulator and 2 batteries. Would not trade it for anything.

Someone has to keep you on your toes!! It's been down for two months with wires plus issues otherwise it would probably have another 10k on it. Like you, I love the long road trips!
