How many miles can you do

I hear everyone about plans, but to me if you plan it to much it is like work.

Schedules, deadlines and destinations, yep, that is work.

If I am going to ride for fun, I need to do just that. I head that way and figure it out on the road. I take a hand pump for gas and octane booster (bike is tuned to 93 octane).

It either works out or not. To me that is part of the adventure.

Ride safe and to your abilities and above all, ENJOY the RIDE!

I did 1030 in one day on a rigid. I was exhausted by the time I got to my destination. I think any more than 1300 is getting dangerous, though there are people who have done it.

900/day is pretty reasonable, I think I could do that no problems.

For me it always seems like I'm on speed runs. Long distance in a short amount of time. Not because I want to but because of family deadline most of the time. I have to plan around my wifes schedule as we don't have family in the area to watch out 7 yr old. So easiest way to get from point A to point B is to ride fast and hard to get there sooner. Then do it again going back the other way. So for me it's not miles but the clock.
One of these days I may be able to slow down and smell the roses!!:2thumbs:
