how do you get the headlight apart to change the bulb

there should be a little allen set screw in the trim ring. back it/them out and then unscrew the trim ring counterclockwise. a large part of the time the ring is very difficult to get out. be careful or you could cause damage.

from what i understand, there is a special purpose tool for the removal of the trim ring available thru BDM

Gotta unscrew the ring. I used a flat head screw driver if I recall. They do make a special tool also. You may need to lube it up first.

Two small allen screws under the bucket at the front. Get them out and the rings are threaded, lefty loosey, righty tighty. There is also a gasket in there as well. Good luck:eek:

mine was a BITCH but allen head wrench in the hole and turn

Remove allen set screw
Get 2 rubber strips to help remove (Unthread) ring
I bought the tool a while back from Vickie, no tool you have to use 2 small screw drivers and it's a PIA
change bulb or add HID kit.
 
i hate that stupid headlight ring!
