How do you flash the PDM?

I've searched and searched the BDB forums and can't find anything that talks about flashing a new fuel map into a PDM? I have 2008 K9 EFI and think it's running lean. I'm familiar with loading new maps on my HD with both screaming eagle super tuner and power commander V, but can't find any info for the Big Dog PDM...

EFI Module

The stock BDM/S&S EFI module has a factory lock on it. I purchased an off road module from S&S with a factory base map (way to lean). I had Moots at Bourgets do the tune. Ive been told that some have been able to get around the factory lock but I can't verify this. Regardless it takes S&S tuning software to tune.

So any of those responses change knowing its the replacement "PDM" module rather than the original EHC module?

I think you are confusing modules. The PDM (power distribution module) is to replace the EHC as the heart of the electrical system.

The EFI (electronic fuel injection) module controls the fuel injection. It is a locked module that you cannot reflash. It will adapt to 25% of the base map. This will cover basic upgrades, pipes air cleaner etc. You can purchased unlocked modules as stated.

As stated the EFI module in all Big Dog models were locked from being able to reload any map files into it other than the factory default. That being said we here at Kansas Motorcycle Works have the capability to unlock the module so different maps available the the S&S website can be loaded into it. If you need the module unlocked then please feel free to either contact Matt Moore or myself here on BDB or you can email Matt at matt@kansasmotorcycleworks.com

Oh and fyi to those of you that know or remember me.... I'm back! :)
