How do I remove the transmission sleeve

Just making the preps to install the Karata and I am trying to figure out how to remove the transmission sleeve from the shaft. Does this screw off or do I need to pry this loose?

Anyone know if a bearing race removal tool is required

That should just slide off. I have seen where people will lock tight them in place and you may need a small pencil torch to break it free, What ever you do dont beat on it

The bearing race is a press fit,you must use a puller to remove.

Thanks Jim, I was hoping that I would have to call you for something more complex. I am going to see if I can get a shop out here to loan me one or find something that will work at sears or grainger.

Problem solved a local shop wouldn't loan their tools out but will remove it if I bring the transmission to them. Going to bring 12 cold ones for payment...
