How Do I Remove Sticky off the Paint

Hello BDers! Well I have a question. On my BD at the rear fender there must of been a sticker or a reflector at one time on the side. Its not sticky now but you can see the square that it left behind. Now before I go and get some rubbing compound or some thing like that I just wanted to know if any one out there has an idea to remove this from the paint without destroying the paint? Thanks in advance.

If you have WD-40 you might try that. Works on some sticky adhesives.

Use brake cleaner, spray it on a rag and it will take a little work but sould come off.

3M makes a adhesive remover in a can. I used it to get the sticky off when intook off the down tube sticker. Got it at O'Reillys.

If it's not sticky, it might be faded and needs to be buffed out.

Lighter fluid, be sure to follow with some wax.
