ok...been tuning two strokes for 12 years...mikuni, and kiehin carbs and am use to instant throttle response...so how crisp should the throttle be with these S&S g carbs...i cant seem to blip the throttle fast without a hesitation...ive tried to adjust as s&s instructions and am not improving response. if i just twist throttle fast or as normal on hard acceleration its great, but if i try to blip it fast it hesitates...can this be cleaned up or is this it? got ported heads, big valves, S&S xxx carb...33int.78 main, .060 air bleed, .037 int air bleed and one thunder jet...adj thunderheart on setting #3, a 2 into1 S&S air system, and very short FSD exhaust ( which may be part of problem tuning)...PDM wiring...carb runs best at 1 turn open on air bleed, 3\4 and it starts to stumble, 2 turns and starts to stumble....and 2 turns on acc. pump...soooo.

You could try another turn on the acc. pump. Make sure it's working, twist the throttle quick and see if the small tab is pushing on the plunger, could be stuck.

I wish I had more money.
Yeah i would verify the acc. pump is functioning. Look in there whilst you give it a quick twist to see the fan-o-fuel.

Yea stumble on initial throttle is lean. I'd spray it first to cheak for a leak just to rule that out. I know on the keihin carb a trick is to center the spray from the accelerates pump nozzle. Plus in the bowl they would plug the hole (vent?) To the accelerates nozzle saying it gives quicker response when blipping the throttle. Could just be the nature of the G. Probably why most big bike builders like the mikuni because of the extra circuits.

If you want tuneabilty sell that G and buy that psi from Carlos. That'll pull your mods together as it did with mine.

Like everyone else is saying try tunimg on the acc pump it should make a big difference but i dont think its going to have the response like a 2 stroke motor ever.
