Make sure you clean the fender and those suctions cups really good every time you put that thing on!

Hey Ricky J,

That painter works out of his house. He does really good work. He painted mine and my gf's bike. I had the same problem with scratches from the 2 up seat that got into the clear. He sanded it down and recleared it, looks new again. He also did some custom work on my tank. I'll be posting those soon. The only bad thing is he'll just want the tins, so you'll have to remove 'em.

My rear tin is at the painters for the same problem you are having. I seldom used my bitch seat. I cleaned the suction cups and the fender before I put it on and it still did it. Buffing and compound wouldn't take it out. Under the solo seat the two large suction cups did an even worse job on the fender. I am also looking to put a film over it after its painted. I wouldn't put anything on the paint until it cures which is about 30 days according to my painter. Also I saw a post on here that the 3M yellows after a year. I don't know how true that is. Anyone here use any protective film with any luck?
I put 3M clear bra on every painted surface on my 2010 Bulldog as my first mod the first month I had the bike. Includes most of the visible frame tubes as well. When it yellows and looks like crap I'll take it off and re-install it again. The tank was a bitch to do but looks great and not one chip on the paint at all.

I have pretty much kept it under control by first wiping the suction cups and fender before each ride. And because it still scratches anyway, I polish the scratches after each ride with aluminum polish till they are gone and then rewax. AT least a half hour effort after each ride with a passenger.

Best remidy is to let the wife ride the Harely or her Verigo so I dont have to screw with it. The bike looks way more cool with no pillion seat or scratches.
She gets pissed when I burn the tires off with her on back anyway.
