How are the 06 Pitbulls ??

May have the old transmission main shaft in it, you might what to get that changed out eventually. Does it have TP rocker boxes? Might think about that too and change them over to S&S rocker boxes, just a few things to think about...

no clue , I would think the o6 has s&s rocker boxes ? Im going to look at it today , I will see if I can find out.

Most likely TP Rocker box assembly (4 bolts on top cover, S&S has 6) We all know what happens with that eventually. So keep a head R&R and Rocker box assembly in back of your mind when pricing it out. (rocker box assembly with standard arms will run you around $850, R&R heads around $500 + gaskets and labor)
Also like stated above, most likely has a transmission that needs to be updated. No way of telling unless you open primary up.( R&R transmission in bike with new main shaft, around $1300...out of bike, close to $700 + shipping)
Take seat off an do a quick inspection of the wires. Make sure no rats nest and the EHC looks solid. Make sure all functions of bike are working.

THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP, IT HAS 6 BOLTS ON THE ROCKER BOXES AND AS FAR AS THE TRANNY , I DONT KNOW AND EVERYTHING WORKS AND I SHOULD BE GOOD FOR SOME TIME, IT ONLY HAS 4,200 MILES ON IT ( KNOCK ON WOOD) THIS IS A PICTURE OF IT , ITS NOT VERY GOOD BUT IM PICKING IT UP TOMORROPW AND I[QUOTELL TAKE SOME NEW ONES!

Very nice!! I was just talking with a guy a few days ago that had purchased a Pitbull brand new from the dealership I used to work at. It was a 2007, only 2500 original miles, had the nice green color changing paint, and he just sold it for $6000 :eek: Got into a lot of trouble with a DUI and it had to go. Wish I had known about it a month ago.

The 06 Pitbulls are very nice, not as nice, cool, good looking, and super chick magnet as the K-9, but still a very nice bike. Boxes and a shaft in the tranny are just minor details that Andrew can easily fix for you when/if needed...

Like anything else I guess parts wear some are made better than others Im doubting the parts are junk but if things need replacing than I will take care of it, but in the meantime I will enjoy it at least if the weather ever breaks up here , burrrr

These aren't very good, I will take some nice ones when the weather breaks and I can take it outside ,to much snow and f`n ice right now , by the way Kim whats POTM? :cheers:

PS Kim , it might not be a K9 buts its a Dog and best of all its my Dog :whoop:
