Hot Motor

Energy One
Dudes trust me it rockes had hot bikes and races cars all my life.It is a complete different feeling then the 600 set up .The Bob wood 650 cam is a great cam to get you out of the hole and just keep getting it were the 600 comes on mid range. It's not how fast you go it's how fast you get there.will send one of the Big Dog members my Dyno sheet to post.Beagle Man

Freedom Cycle in DE did the work. Nick, now that you're done fucking with the motor you better get out and ride with us this spring.
With those numbers you maybe riding behind him

That is basically identical numbers to what my Mastiff was...i'll tell you this. If it runs like mine, it will pull to the rev limiter in high gear.Takes about 2-21/2 miles to wind up....mine hit it at 163mph according to my garmin GPS.....it logs & holds top speeds.
Dammm I've never been going that fast in a car let alone a bike. How light is the front end at that speed?

Believe it or not, the Mastiff handles fine at that speed.....not light in the front end or any other bad issues....that is of course a straight line run on the open interstate....I damn sure wouldn't want to try to go around a curve at that speed....not even I am ballsy enough to do that.
You really have to have a 'built' motor to continually run it that hard day in and day out...mine had a lot of good parts in it, Jims pistons, clearenced and jeweled crank, .659 lift S&S cam, lots of head work, etc., and never had a seconds trouble with it, EVER.
What people don't understand is you can't just put in a big cam, pipes, and re-jet it and have a hot rod. It will run a hellova lot better than off the showroom floor, but won't last if you run it hard. For most, it's good enough....I, like many others on here raced cars, dirt bikes, etc., so I like to roll when I'm riding...I remember a sign hanging in a speed shop i used to go to that read, "Speed costs, how fast do you want to go ?" Pretty much sums it up.

I will say this, at 163, that's about my thresh-hold on a bike like that.....no fairing and no helment is NOT conducive to that kind of speed. However, I did it, my buddies thought it was cool, Don't care to go that fast on that style of bike ever again.
