When you installed the VR, did the VR mounts have ground washers or Star washers in between the mount and VR?

That was a problem that BDM had with some bikes was that the VR was not getting a good enough ground.

My 06 K9 has done this 3 times. First time shut down for about 30 minutes, then started back up and all was fine. Called BDM said low voltage. I put a new bat in no problems for about 4 months. Then it happened at Thunder Beach. down for three days. Good friend came and got me with his trailer 12 hr tow Thanks Jerry!! Third time, weeken run to Clewiston Florida, Rolands Tiki hut Lake Okachobie. Jerry to the resque again. My dog is starting to like Jerries trailer, bad dog. Still won't start. Computer was replaced on recall at 841 miles. Each time bike has been rained on or washed just befor shut down. Going to replace relay and find a good product to coat PC boards in handelbars. Already put die eletric grease around pins on computer plugs and all coil connections. any body else still fighten this problem?

My dad's (T.Byrd) bike was doing this shit all the time, well a few wks ago he left it off the battery tender and we rode the next day and it never done it. So he left it off again and WOW still good. He put the bike on a charger and charged it till it was 100% and still good. I think his problem was his tender wasn't charging the battery, or it might have been draining it? When his bike was messing up it would only do it for about a hour or so (8 or 9) shut downs and then it would quit, like when the battery charged itselfs up...But who knows it's been running right for about 2 wks with no shut down so :2thumbs:

P.S. I don't think he's used the tender since :cheers:
