Had the dog since April of this year. I have never had any issues with the battery.. that I know of. Has started on the first try every time thus far:2thumbs: But reading all the recommendations on getting the dog battery on a tender I finally setup a temp solution. Anyone have a comments on my setup in regards to safety and keeping the charger out of the weather. I am not an electrician but I think it will work???

Also hoping to have a dog shelter one day but for now just a MC good cover is the best I can do.

I think you're good to go as long as the moisture doesn't intrude...:2thumbs:

Looks safe enough.

If it's a BT Jr. make sure that it goes into float mode at some point.

Blinking Green, I think.

If you ever put in a metal building or any building for that matter, make sure to put in plastic sheeting under a floor to keep moisture coming up from the ground.

You'll be sorry if you don't.

Yeah the box is an all weather box. Would have liked to have a bigger box but that was all the Depot had. Guess I will find out it's raining here tonight :D

Bro1,
Can you elaborate on your comment? Are you referring to placing the floor in direct contact with the ground? I'll probably will go with some type of wood shed that would be on skid rails which would raise the floor up off the ground. thanks for your input

is the other end of that extension cord plugged into a GFI???? (like a surge protector)

the more protection, the better for you.

The plastic sheet will be a vapor barrier and could be under the shed above the ground. If you build a shed, place the sheeting above the floor joists and under the plywood floor.

Moisture

You guys are scaring me with the moisture/bike outside comments. I'm I in trouble leaving the bike outside like I am? No friends with indoor spaces:(
The bike is well maintained but just not kept inside yet. My goal was to have a shelter before winter sets in but may have to rent a storage unit. Anyone else on BDB have the misfurtune of not being able to store the bike inside?
