It's hard to see your best buddy lying there with his guts hanging out. But it's a comforting fact to know that he will return.. Stronger, and faster with a more robust heart and quicker wit..

Hey I see the harbor freight jack your using. I definetly get a jack stand up under it when it's up for long periods of time. No offense just a good thing to do.
I installed a PDM on my 05 and tried to enjoy the experience and take time to do a good job. If it's a rip kit you can get support during install too no sweat.

Yea.. As you can see there's not alot of room in my garage and my pockets aren't that deep enough for a nice table set up.. I don't trust that lift enough to leave it up more than the time i can keep my eyes on it and I RARELY lift it up to any hight more than about 2 Ft. Heavy over hauls and jerking around on the bike while it's on this stand is not advised..

Yes Tim, it is a troublesome thing to see our Dogs deadlined for mechanical issues. Here's a photo of my K9 minus front cylinder (ex. valve guide failure).
Reminded me of a photo of Miss America nude ---with one of her front teeth missing.....

It wasn't having any issues... I wanted to put the latest and greatest in it, because I truly believe that this is the last bike I'll ever own or ride.. The last owner was not a mechanic and didn't take care of it like he should've, so for my 40th birthday I decided to rescue this dog and make it even more one off than what the original brand is known for..

Gonna be a very nice bike when it's all said and done Tim. I think most of us have been there, well in my case a time or two, before.
Safe trails and don't forget the pics.. :chopper:
