2003 Mastiff hard clutch. Were they always that bad? Or is something wrong? It seems Awfully smooth to be dirty just need huge forearm. Local Harley shop said not right but won’t touch it and gave no advice.

It shouldn't be that hard. I would pull the clutch rod assembly apart and grease everything and lube your clutch cable.

That sounds like normal dealership snobs that think any other bike is a piece of shit and not worth their time.

Any good vids on pulling all that?
You are extremely unlucky. Marky-Marc had a lot of great videos on big dogs. He had one on the clutch rod assembly. Unfortunately, he just left the site and pulled all of his videos down. I'm off work because of the virus, paid fortunately. If no one jumps in and explains, I'll try to do a write-up tomorrow. It will give me something to do.

Awesome bro! Sorry your not working. Hopefully your getting same pay for being home. Our line of work is considered essential so out there taking the risk lol. I would really appreciate it. My first bike but not a stranger to fixing something new to me. Kinda like challenges it’s what gets me out of bed. I DIY almost everything. Boss loves it, saves him money

Good. I'm sure Mr. Wright can do a better job of explaining things than I can. Can someone guide him to the service manuals area? That would be a good thing for him to have.

He is moving and changing jobs. I'm not sure why that required removing all of his stuff. I don't know Marky personally, but he has helped me immensely with his knowledge. I understand that it is his intellectual property, and he can do with it as he sees fit, but a loss of knowledge on any subject is very sad. JMHO.

Well I loosen the clutch cable didn’t have much adjustment left to get very loose. Made it hard to get the handle detached so I could get some cable lube in. Ended up having to take clutch cover off to the ball and ramp,To get enough slack.
So ball and ramp sets in tranny lube so all looked good there.
I got back together and before I took the slack out of the cable I adjusted the clutch it was tightened about a turn more than it needed to be when I got the locknut loose so I just started over turn till it gave me a little tension and then backed it off a half a turn. And then adjusted the slack out of the cable and it feels maybe 10 to 15% lighter but still pretty hard.

Little frustrating when I can walk over to the Wolf and squeeze it off with one finger and then go back to the mastiff and I have to use the whole hand

It's two different clutch cable systems. What Mark showed you with them easy pull parts, we're going to go over on how to put them in and get it adjusted properly with a 12 disc clutch

Remember, the wolf has the easy pull ball and ramp. It does make a noticeable difference.
