high beam won't.....???

Hey all, i was out for a put today and tried to put my high beam on and the blue high beam light turned on for a second but then turned back off???
Bad bulb?
Anyone else have this happen?

Yep... it the high beam don't work... it will auto go back to the low beam. Check the bulb.

Well my high beam still kicks on for a hot second then goes back to low beam on its own...

I hit the high beam button the light turns brighter
Then it turns back to low....??

ANYONE have any ideas where to begin?
Has anyone ever had this problem?

I don't think its a bad high beam bulb because it turns on (brighter) for a second... Hey but what do i know... I'm open to suggestions???

Bad EHC, my guess. That is usually the first section to start showing signs of death!

Sorry -- with those symptoms, bdmridgeback is making a good prediction, this may well be a precursor to a dead EHC. Been done that road myself....:down:

I am with Gasman,
Pull the bulb and change it first. Mine did the same thing and I think the filiment was vibrating at toching for a second before it kicked back to low beams. You get two bulbs in a pack from walmart...

That sounds easier than the EHC!!!! I will start there...

Stock bulb is a simple H-4 55/60 available at any auto store for about $5.

unless you want to spend some cheese......I would get the PIAA Super Plasma GTX bulb......thats what I have been running for over a year now!! :up: or you can get one of Jake's HID kits.....:2thumbs:
