What Kelvin are you guys running or prefer...the 6000 or 8000? I'm looking to purchase and install one from Jake but not sure which brightness im wanting to go with.

General rule of thumb is the lower the temp the whiter / brighter the light. All of them will be brighter than your standard halogen. In my chopper I bought a low temp kit, then changed my mind and went with 12k just because I like the way the purple went with the color of my bike. In my other vehicles and sportbike are all 4300-4500k.

I have the 6k, but I have been told the higher numbers will be more noticeable in the daylight even if they aren't actually brighter. The 6k is a bright light.

I run a 12k in my bike and love it. Even the 12,000k is over twice the light output of the stock H4.

6000k is over three times as bright but doesnt "stand out in the crowd" during the day like the
Higher kelvin scaled bulbs.

I weighed out being able to see 3 times better at night versus 2 times better and being seen
more during the day by other drivers. Being seen better during the day was more important to me.
