HID light!

Got the light put in, whoever designed than damn ring retainer system needs to be shot, promptly! Looks SICK! Also, when I hit the high beam button the light flashes really fast...not sure if it's supposed to do that or if I'm hurting it doing that but if it's not hurting it I think that's a SWEET side effect because you could hit the high beam when going through an intersection and know everyone sees you...anyway, thanks Jake! Looks great!

Yeah, it's like a strobe when I hit the high beam button. I know I lose the high beam because the HID isn't a dual filament bulb, which is fine, but why does it strobe??

The strobe thing isn't really a strobe guys. BDM built a flash feature into the EHC so that if the low beam or high beam burns out, the EHC will flash the working beam 3-4 times real fast and then go back to normal to indicate that the other beam is burnt out and needs replaced.

With the HID installed, there is nothing hooked to the high beam circuit so when you push the high beam button, the EHC flashes the low beam 4 times real fast. I could have put a diode on the high beam to keep it from doing that, but then if someone is riding at night and you push the high beam, it will switch over to high and the headlight goes out completely until you push the low beam button again.

That would not be good!!!

LEE, if I could speed up the postal service by sticking a foot up their arse I would, but I would just ruin a boot!!:D

Here is a video of the HID kit. I turn it on, off, on then hit the high beam button and you'll see it pulse.

Interesting.... and kinda of sucks... but with all that light from a low beam... do you really need one?!!!

I was out cruising with my new HID light - WOW nice. As for a high beam this is way brighter than the stock light. Thanks Jake - easy install and works great! :2thumbs:

I was going to say... Just wait till some of the guys start doing some night rides and post some feedback. The light isn't 10 times brighter, but there is 10 times more light output! It is brighter than the high beam and more projected light. Oh, and reflective signs and road lines... shit, you can see a stop sign reflecting back at you 2 miles down the road!!!!

No High Beam Needed.

Most cars with HID headlights have standard incandesant high beams.

I just got home from dinner and was cussing my stock headlight the whole way. As I was riding I was thinking, I need a HID kit from BDMRIDGEBACK. So, you have another order. I can't wait to get it!!!
