HID light? kill EHC?

My buddy put in a HID headlight on a 08 k-9 fuel injected...and the bike was acting wierd. ...Wouldn't start all the the time, after pushing the button several times it would eventually crank. Well now nothing lights up! I think his EHC is dead....what do yall think?

Tell him to go back to the regular bulb first. I had a HID setup in mine also. It got to where I'd have to try starting it 6 times before it would run. I was stubborn with it because I liked the bright light of the HID but just got too aggravating after awhile. The Sylvania Silver H4 bulb is plenty bright and now it starts on the first try. I'm done with HID's for now until I ditch the EHC in the future.
