*****UPDATE FOR 2008 EHC's*****
I posted this in my normal HID thread, but figured that some guys that may have an interest in the kit may have overlooked going back into that thread to check for updates, so I threw this up for the 2008 owners!
I just spent the morning at the local BDM dealer installing and doing a series of tests on the new Low/High beam HID kit in a 2008 K-9 to check the compatability with the NEW Software EHC's. There have been some issues in the past with the new EHC's software not taking a liking to the HID kit without a High beam. It would lock the software into a loop until the battery was disconnected to reset it but not causeing any harm. I just felt that to make this kit perfect, I wanted to make it work in ALL the BDM Bikes, including the brand new models.
I gave the dealer a kit for letting me do some tests on their showroom bike for a sales display. All went very well and all tests passed with flying colors.:willy_nilly:
The new HID kit with the high beam bulb works flawlessly on the new 2008 bikes with the 2.0 version software in the EHC.
Installed the kit and did numerous tests with the bike running and not running, and with low and high beam switched back and forth. Works perfect!!:2thumbs:
SO... Any of you that have been waiting for the OK on the 2008 bikes... Here it is and ready to ship.
