Your factory wiring is of good quality, be sure to check for crushed or broken connectors. Are you having trouble with your EHC and or charging system (VR, stator & rotor) ?

Welcome from Mississippi. As others have stated let us know what is going on with your bike there is enough wisdom on here to diagnose it, the stock wiring (and EHC) on these is of very good quality and usually not the problem. Generally start with things like making sure thar the wiring hasn't been crushed or frayed somewhere, all connections are tight (especially on the battery and ground) and most importantly you have a good battery (most, to include me, run Deka).
