Forget the petition as those rarely do any good.

If everyone were to write a letter to Big Dog Motorcycles and express what their scoot means to them, what they like about their dog, and so on, this will do more good than a petition.

I have wrote a short note to each dept on their contact list.

I gotta believe if all departments recieve and keep getting notes from us, it would lift their spirits and help keep the hound factory alive and well.

If the employees keep talking about all the positive messages they are recieving from current and future owners, perhaps management will rethink current stratagy.

Hopefully stay in business.

Cannot hurt to try this technique, go ahead, I will make it easy for you to contact the various departments by giving you the link.

Remember, a note every week or 2 to each department.

Thought I would post my note I sent in. I used to be a bit of an HD history buff. I have several of there books. HD made it through much terrible times than we have now and survived so hopefully BDM can too.

(my support letter)

To all the fine folks that give us these very special bikes I would like to say thank you. In these tough economic times everyone is being effected from the buyers to the dealers to the factory where all of you work. Just a word of encouragement to hang in there for a speedy recovery and old times like when you were making 20+ bikes a day. Big Dog needs to make it through this period as it's the only true custom models out there.
Before owning my two Big Dog motorcycles I had Harley Davidson's for over 25 years. I have a coffee table book on the history of HD and the troubled times they went through. Hard start-up when the gas fired motor was a new thing and everything was made by hand without automated machinery. A World War followed by a Great Depression and then another World War. All this then the imports coming from Japan. The AMF acquisition and the trade embargo to restrict larger size imports and another buy-out but this time by the stock owners. After all this they resurrected and became larger then ever. Now it's back to troubled times again. But as with HD I think BDM can survive too. So just a note to let all of you know that you have followers and supporters out here. Keep your fingers crossed and hang in there with us.
Sincerely,
