Hey guys, I found a kick ass set of mirrors, but they are in 10mm what can I do to make it work,or will they work with the adapters or what?

Hey guys, I found a kick ass set of mirrors, but they are in 10mm what can I do to make it work,or will they work with the adapters or what?

Here are what the adapter look like. They have 1/2" heads and are 2 1/2" long. You will notice there is one short and one long adapter. I would assume the long one goes on the brake side. I think the adapters purpose is only to increase the shaft size or actually reduce it for aftermarket mirrors.
If the mirrors you want can recieve a bolt vice have a threaded shaft then they will probably work.

as Ray said about the mirror adapters.....here is what mine looked like....but being that I am running the Debrix Cycle mirrors....I had to get the same thread pitch of the bolts that came with the mirrors....but the same length as the BDM ones....being the BDM bolts wouldn't work....no biggie...Gas hooked me up with some stainless bolts:up:

you just have to get the same thread pitch as the bolts that came with your mirrors...but longer like the BDM ones....I had no problem

I purchased aftermarket mirrors and a BDM adapter kit. I quickly realized that the BDM aftermarket kit did not fit the new mirrors, which were millimeter. A trip to my local Ace Hardware store solved that. I was able to purchase chrome bolts and spacers, which looked much nicer than the BDM kit, for much less than what the BDM kit cost. I think I spent close to $4 for everything at the hardware store, and the BDM mirror adapters were closer to $13.

So, just take the mirror stems to the hardware store and get the right size bolts. Here are some pics of the new mirrors, even though the pics were not focusing on them.

Dude it don't matter. As long as they are the female side of the bolting setup, you're GTG. Just get your mirror adapters
