Out riding yesterday on a two lane hwy river overpass and after cresting the overpass I come upon a duck that had just been hit ... there was no saving it! The ducks little babies were in the middle of the road and had to swerve hard to avoid them. Without any intervention they would very quickly end up like there mother. I do a couple quick u-turns and get back to them and park to the side and chase them to the weeds and down the side and figure well that's the best I can do.
Get back to the dog and sit and stand her up and go to kick the stand up and the stand, spring, and bolts falls to the ground. Anyway ..... Long story short a biker chic comes along and lends me a hand getting things assembled, I thank her for her help and come to find out we both have the same names (Stacy). I guess my point is .... If I had ridden any further the kick stand would have fallen off all together with no luck in finding the pieces or could have very easily tipped over at my next stop. Probably just luck but got me thinking!!!
