Is the switch board rivited in or was it held by screws. Mine look rivited and I didn't want to pull it?

Board itself is held in by 3-4 screws I cant remember, used a small Allen wrench and be careful not to overtighten them when you put it all back together!

Start Problem FIXED

I replied to this thread telling everyone what I found but I do not see it. When you push the start switch on the handle bar it pushes a little rubber pad into the circuit board. The little TIT on the back side was not making good contact. When I pressed the the circuit board with my finger it started like a top. I used a hot glue gun and built up the TIT. I has been 3 weeks or so and it works great. At the same time it was time for a new battery and I started with an Odyssey but the CCA was just not hacking it. I sent it back and went the the Braille..425 CCA and LOVE it.

Thanks For everyone's help. As I have seen so many times. Look for the simple stuff 1st!

You're welcome, glad I could help.

I've designed products using these domes and it's not uncommon in these use conditions to have a problem like yours. Also keep the hand controls covered when you wash the bike or seal the area.

Some stainless steel domes have a dimple in the center that makes a better contact point. Sometimes when pressed too hard or after many cycles of use the dome will collapse and not rebound as well.

The metal domes could be replaced if you can find one that would fit the same spacing.

Happy New Year. I have an 07 k-9. When I push the starter switch some times i get get nothing. It seems that if I press at a different "angle" it will engage the starter and all is well. Sometimes turning the key off and on will do the trick. It is an intermittent problem that seems to be getting worse. Anybody had the switch go bad? I took it apart and it seems to just be some sort of circuit board. ( as you can tell I am a rookie) The starter switch just does not feel as "solid" as say the run switch when depressed.

I did a search and did not find anything like this on this forum although my computer savvy is not much better than my trouble shooting skills.

Thanks for the help. You guys have been great for past problems.
