HELP with Power Up Circuit

Well my first electrical problem and am kind-f stumped. I have no parking lights front and rear, I have no power going to the TACH or speed-O (DD), both are dead, all turn signals work, horn, headlight all work. Starts and runs fine. The power up light (yellow) on the EHC is on, I removed the old and put new dielectric grease on all EHC connectors, unplugged and re-plugged all connectors, new Braile battery, 13.4 volts. I have a wiring diagram and service manual but they're not much help on specific system troubleshooting.

Trouble shooting manual says opened or grounded circuit on the Power Up, but where do I start.....?

Pls give me something to check, voltage from A to B, or continuity from A to GRD...any help whatsoever as always is appreciated....THANKS

my 08 manual states: if the yellow power up light is illuminated, unplug the loads on that circuit one at a time( and plug them back in if the light remains on) until the light goes out, then repair the problem. possibly a short to ground in one of the circuits you've listed

:iagree:

If you look at your wiring diagram you'll notice that the running lights, speedo, and tach are on the same circuit inside the EHC. Unplugging each one will rule out (or in) grounded wires. You'll can check continuity to find an OPEN.

Thanks guys, I did exactly that and found that the License Plate light had shorted out against the frame, unplugged the license plate wiring harness, all turn signal lights and speedo/TACH lights came on and then started looking at the license plate light wires......one wire was between the two brackets causing it to short out, Thanks for the quick replies.....
