Help with carb setup

No chubs, let's just say the roller is on hold, so the engine is being sold. Same BadDawg Blues... the judge on your settlement kind of... watch the roller go and pay the lawyer off. All parts were picked up last Saturday. I'm without a single piece so we sit and wait.

just wish you would post more straight forward , your diagnosis is most often hard to read.
heybaylor called it closer than a fueling problem. That was the simple diagnosis and repair. You know pressure theory or you die, right? I explain a pressure theory so one would know the difference than a fuel or spark variable.
So I die knowing fuel-spark-compression [of the penultimate] are my handcuffs I'm locked into. This is, 'side of the roadiagnosis.' Who is missing? So even though this means air vacuum, I can tell your science needs to float to the surface. I now entertain myself throwing the handcuffs in the air and oh lookey there is the key!

Guys like chubs gets it. I write for chubs and my entertainment. Since I'm handcuffed to the bike's design, a science is attached to it. If you're slow like me, it takes a lifetime to figure it all out and I'm not even close. I try to stick in the shortcuts to the science I can throw eggs as molecules of fuel. I also write for her too. She may be in that catch me if you can at the drive. Catch what you can.

:hi: In all reality Sven, sometimes I have to read your posts a few times and try to weed out the "scientific" stuff to get to the point of things. Funny thing is though, sometimes you're right. kinda frightening aint it?:yesnod::oldlaugh:

Also check that your accelerator pump is working. Should see a stream of fuel when working the throttle.
John
It doesn't quite spray the way my other carbs sprayed? This is a xxx built carb it does get fuel into the carb but it just dumps it into the carb. Not a fine stream like stock carbs???
I tightened up the manifold and started the bike up with the same symptoms going to start going up on the intermediate jet.. Before the bike get warm the carb is "hiccuping"
I will post a video of me starting it tomorrow

I tightened up the manifold and started the bike up with the same symptoms
If you said, 'I sprayed the manifolds before I tightened and it stalled,' or 'I tightened the bolts and sprayed the manifolds and it still stalled, we on page 3 yet?

So without a pre-spray or a post-spray, 'the same symptoms' occurs, how about a shrunk seal where no tightening would help. This is becoming a tail chaser you 'do not listen to turtle.' Only your brake clean knows for sure.

Before the bike gets warm the carb is "hiccuping"
How can the bike run fine 'you say' when it's warmed up. How is it that all of a sudden this spitting is occurring and how long have you owned the bike? And how many times have you changed shit on it? New muffler, new air cleaner? Just left it alone and now you have a hiccup?

I need a new stator and maybe a battery.
Notice the cough in the carb before it stalls
You're there and I'm not. Are we sure it's the battery or stator? Did you spray the battery and stator to find out? LOL

Anything you left out? Now you need a rejetting all of a sudden? Now you need a battery, or is it stator is it? See where I'm going withis?

Battery , stator seperate story. Set screw was to tight actually had smoke coming from the stator. Trying to fix one issue before adding too much... Really want to stick to the carb "cough".yes I have changed a lot out
On this bike and bought her used and abused about 2 years ago! I like to do my own work and take pride in owning such a beautiful bike!
I have changed pipes and air filter as the spike air filter sucked and spit oil all over the place...
I had issues with the cough before I changed pipes took it to a "specialist to help get it dialed in with no luck...
Thanks I will figure it out on my own but appreciate another set of eyes and ears. Sometimes I get too dialed in on something and miss the obvious

Set screw was to tight
Too dialed in means you need to look back and ask 2 years ago about spitting. Now the screw was set too tight and this spits when... when you first got it? Too tight means closed to me. That [screw] helps start, helps idle, runs with the low and main as all 3 are being sucked out of at the same time; no matter throttle position.

I have changed a lot out
Ask me how I can tell.

took it to a "specialist to help get it dialed in with no luck.
And the info keeps trickling in. So I'll assume the specialist did not test for a leak? Franco may have a jetting number for you, unless yours matches, here is the very first move so no tail shall be chased.

Thanks I will figure it out on my own but appreciate another set of eyes and ears... and miss the obvious
I'm sure you will. Yes, keep an open mind, take in all the other set sends in. I'm thinking cold crank compression test so the obvious is not missed.

The set screw was in the stator unfortunately my stator is done. Check out my post about stators gone bad

I agree and plan on working this step by step

Will once I get the new stator installed
Your shit is hard to read, half the time I think your a jackass but appreciate the help! Confusing most of the time
