First of all let me say that this is not the first time I have bled the brakes on a bike, so I know how to do it and how it should work. I have tried the traditional tube in a jar approach and I’ve tried the vacuum approach – neither work. Any suggestions as to what may be the problem would be welcomed.
On funny thing, it almost appears as if the bleed screw is the wrong thread – it screws in OK but it feels loose. I can tighten it down but as soon as I back it off a tiny bit to start to bleed, you can move the screw very slightly on the threads – probably enough to let in air – seems like it shouldn’t do that to me – any ideas?
