Ok... Put the new battery in cranked really well but would not start. After a few attempts it would just click when start was pushed and then all four turn signals came on as if the bike has hazards. EHC led for ignition still comes on solid when attempting to start....any ideas fellas?
Does the red light on the Thunder Heart ignition module come on when you push the run button. Not the EHC, the ignition module

Ok. So I jump the pcb red to black. Then black to green. It was cranking hard. That lasted for about ten attempts. I stopped, pulled the battery and EHC then checked all the connections. Everything looked great (as far as I could tell) so I reattached the battery and EHC. Attempted to start it again. Cranked hard a few times and then started to click only and now it was drawing juice hard from the battery ( headlight dimming ) this is a brand new battery ( Braille) and was under the impression it was fuller charged from the factory but it is starting to appear as if the battery is drained( not all the way).

Also wanted to note that on the starter the wire that has black rubber around the wire is cracked and when I was initially trying to start it that wire/rubber was smoking slightly??? Is this maybe part of the issue? I do remember when the EHC (original) was going bad and I attempted to start it the wire would also smoke then! Seriously....what is going on?

Make sure the connections are tight. If my connections at the battery terminals are even a bit loose I get a little smoke. Also, get ready to do some mods as the EHC units are crap. See my posts on taking it out of the equation for starting and running.

Take one of the spark plugs out and reconnect the spark plug wire, cranks it and check for spark at the plug. If you have spark, it should start unless your fuel is as old as your battery was. Also did you test the crank position senor, is it working if not let me know I have several that I bought for $20 each, I'll send you one if you need one. Don't keep the starter cranking more than 3 to 4 seconds at a time or you are going to burn the starter up or kill the battery.

This is what I found when I removed the cam cover. Isn't there supposed to be a sensor in there. I'm no mechanic and I think I've clarified the fact I have no clue on a lot of things but I'm learning. Was looking at and old post on here. The issues sounded similar to mine so I thought I'd look to see what shape my cam sensor was in.....where the heck is it? From all the other pics I've found there is a wire leading in to the hole in the bottom left.. Stolen? Somewhere else on the bike? Help!!!View attachment 26473

I don't think your bike has a cam sensor, it has a crank position senor on the left front of the mike right by where the stator plug is located. It has two wire that run all the way back to the ignition module. Go to the how to section and test it see if its working and if it is not I'll send you one, just PM me your address..

CRANK SENSOR TEST
Disconnect the plug wires and unplug the
crank sensor. Set the DMM to measure AC
volts and measure across both pins of the
plug. While cranking the engine, you should
see AC voltage greater than 1 Volt. If no
voltage registers, replace the crank sensor.
