HELP PLEASE! Cannot Find Connector for Tag Light Replacement

I am replacing my tag light and have everything off but I cannot find the connector under the seat. I follow the black wire from the small tube near the strut and it goes behind a black brace with two bolts on it. I follow it out the right side into an electrical bundle. I was able to pull up some several inches of the wire from the plate bracket to see if the connector was behind the brace but did not see anything that resembles a connector. Everyone is telling me to look for a white connector. I see the connector for my rear turn signal which lays on the front of the rear fender but no tag light connector.

I have attached a picture below. You are looking from the front towards the rear fender. I am pointing with a silver ink pen the wire coming out on the right side of the bike into the electrical bundle. The black wire on the right is what is coming out of the small tube near the strut.

If anyone can help it would be appreciated. My LED board is ordered so I have a few days to try and find this connector.

Thanks.

On my 08 Ridgeback you have to take off the side cover on the right side..the connector is directly under your pinkey..again it is on 08 Ridgeback..the K9 I would think be the same...and it is in fact a white connector..

Thanks Spitlong

Thanks Spitlog. Aren't there a couple of bolts on top that hold those side pieces on? On my HD I just pop them on and off but I thought I was told not to pull on BDM panels.

There are two that you can see on top and then one the bottom front that attaches
both sides...not sure on the K-9 since it has suspension. when you re-install the side
cover be sure to tighten the bolts just past finger tight. The rubber grommets that hold them on split and come apart if you put some force on them.
