Help needed.

Hey guys,
I just got my new forward controls from Custom Chopperwerks. once I had the shifter side mounted I realized that my shifter linkage is too long. I tried to adjust it to shorten it. I also tried to reposition the arm on the trans but couldn't back it off far enough to move it because of the primary. Does anybody have any insight to help me out? Outside of getting a shorter linkage what do you recommend? I'm not looking to remove the primary but if I do can I reposition the arm on the trans to a more vertical position?
Any help is def appreciated!!!

Not sure how much shorter you need to go but, have you thought about cutting the shifter rod down and re-drilling and tapping one end ?

Just a thought.

For a moment I did, but another member on here has the same controls and the same stock linkage, I didn't read anything from him having any issues. I have sent him a pm

I got the factory 2.5 inch forward kit for my 08 mutt.
The rod that came with it was too long. The one on the bike was to short.
I cut drilled and tapped the long one to fit.
I shortened the threads on the one heim joint so I didn't need to tap it so deep.
Hope this helps.

I just sent you a PM, sorry was out of town on business and just got on here. I had to do what Relic said, took it and had it shortened and redrilled and tapped. I did it on both ends for more adjustment.
