I pulled the bike out of the garage after sitting on charge for about 6 months and when the engine was turning over, this hose started spitting oil out onto the driveway. I am unsure what the hose is, but it looks as if it had a clamp on it. I could not find anything it might hook up to around it.IMG_0310.jpegIMG_0309.jpegIMG_0308.jpegIMG_0307.jpeg

All good. Oil sumped from sitting. Ck the oil level or do an oil change. It will stop spitting after a short while. And welcome from Kansas.

Yep! HMAN is correct. Oil is held in the oil tank on your bike not the crankcase. There is a check valve in the oil pump. After sitting for some time oil will get past the check valve and go into the crankcase then blow out the breather when started. Originally the breather line was attached to the back of the carb plate. Most guys didn't want oil going into the carb and removed the line and ran under the bike. Make sure you look under the bike after starting and going for a ride. Oil on the back tire can make for a crazy ride. Ask me how I know!

Anytime my bike sat for a couple weeks or more without running I would put a small container under the bike before starting to catch the oil. Easier than cleaning up the floor. Some guys install oil catch cans attached to the breather line. I always thought that was more trouble than it was worth.

My 03 chopper will do the same thing after a month of sitting. if the hose is not coming from the breather,, it might be hooked to a fitting on the back side of the engine casing below the rear jug. my vent hose was attached there then through an open filter and then to the ground.IMG_20240311_095606.jpg
