Help - EHC gone?

I rode my bike yesterday. Today I washed the bike. I then turn on the ignition to start the bike. All lights work, turn signals work, horn works. I hit the run button and no sound - no sound of compression releases, no sound of fuel pump. I hit the start button and the bike turns over, but won't start. I look at the EHC and see no lights on - nothing.

Any ideas? Any chance it's something other than EHC?

If you didn't cover your handle bar controls water may have gotten in. I would take a hair dryer or heat gun on low heat so you can dry out.

Also pull your EHC connectors, blow out both sides and put fresh dielectric grease in the EHC side connectors before connecting the harness back up

You're talking about connector A & B multi-pin connectors that attach directly to EHC? Put dielectric grease on male pins?

I also disconnected battery and checked 25A fuse for continuity. It was fine. So for some reason no power to EHC or EHC not functioning. Maybe the connectors.

I got caught in the rain w mine and lost my gauges for a couple days. It would do anything when I hit start intermittently. After a couple warm dry days everything was back to normal. I'm going to check all the connections when my bike gets back from Daytona.

WD40 would blow a drop of water touching a very close + to - connection.
No need for a switch to be split but to follow the water in via the openings.
The dust-free blown in the switch is one more dry/blow the drops off the kill switch connections.

The EHC (Electricity Has Connections) is to blow the water world off the bike's contacts and that would teach me not to wash but to wipe this bike down.

I pulled things apart and things started to work. I got it to start. I put everything back together and then I tried to start it and the starter makes what sounds like half a turn and stops. The hazard lights then flash. I cycle everything off and it does the same thing when I run through the start sequence. Grrrrrrr

Battery voltage is dropping too low.
Charge the battery then, while starting the motor check your battery voltage.
If its dropping below 10 volts then you need a better or new battery.

After a few minutes on the tender it started up fine and rode a hundred miles with no issues. I guess I need to start going through all the connections on the power side first and load em up with dielectric grease and put on some shrink wrap.
