Just pulled my dog out of the garage for the first time since I stored it for the winter, started it, put it in gear. It then lerched foward and stalled. Now my clutch does not work, I can't get it to even shift into neutral to put it back in the garage ! I don't even know where to start to fix this. I've read some posts on adjusting the clutch, but like I said, Im not sure what to try first. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

well, imho, that lurch happens when the bike is left alone for more than a week or two. that is normal or at least it is for me (and others that i have read about). it could be that the plates have rusted together and you may have to take the outer primary off and take the clutch plates out to free things up. may even have to change the clutch and pressure plate. this is only my thoughts and hopefully somebody with more knowledge will chime in.

* did you make sure the clutch cable has not broken?*

Try rocking it back and forth to see if you can get it into neutral.

Any updates?

Yeah Tim, I adjusted the clutch yesterday. Now I can shift it into first and neutral very easily. I'm not sure if I fixed the problem yet, gotta wait for the weather to clear here to take it off the lift and see.
