HELP 2008 Pitbull Strut Plate Removal

Need some help. I was trying to install my sissy bar for the first time today ran into a snag. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove what the manual is calling a strut plate (26). I removed the set screws (29) without issue. Other than turning the dog upside down and shaking not sure how to remove without damaging too much. Was thinking about running down the road and hit some pot holes to jar them loose. Thanks for your input.

there is a small hole in-between the two set screws (closer to the back set scre). you can use a small allen wrench or whaterver will fit to push up on the strut plate

thanks jimbo - gave that a try but felt like I was hitting something other than the plate so I stopped. Don't have access to my srvc man right now but does the wiring for the turn signal run thru the strut?

:2thumbs: Thanks Jimbo! That was it, just had to be patient and use a little finesse. Sure doesn't look like much to connect the sissy bar let alone put any type of stress on the sissy bar (passeger, luggage etc..)
