Mine is the Daytona carbon fiber 1/2 helmet, but it's the DOT version.
I honestly don't see the point of wearing it if it ain't legal. Just say'n

I like that one Brew, I almost bought one but decided to try one from bikerhelmets.com, Crazy Als, at the time it was cheaper. It's pretty good but always looking for something smaller, only got it to make the wife happy, lol.
Normally I ride in my novelty helmet, that's the one with the flames . The black is the DOT from bikerhelmets.

Wish I could wear a novelty, the last time I did, I got a $124.00 ticket... So I got rid of them a long time ago... :oldrant:
That strict huh? I've worn one most of the time since I was younger here in Jersey, never pulled over once for it.

It's a matter of in New Jersey it's the law to wear one but if there was no helmet laws I wouldn't be wearing one. So I try getting away with the the non DOT cause it's smaller and lighter and apparently good enough for all the cops I've ever passed to not get a ticket.

Yep. Thanks for the video and pics. That is the closest to wearing a novelty helmet. And there legal. Can't ask for more than that!

Yes, strict here. I even bought DOT stickers and placed them on the novelty and still got popped. Here in Washington State, the WSP have been trained on how to recognize fake helmets.... :oldsad:

One of my main concerns of wearing the non-dot helmet was the likelihood of my wife having issues
getting paid out on my life insurance policy because I was knowingly wearing a non-dot helmet.
Insurance companies are always looking for loopholes like that so they don't have to pay.

Never thought of it that way, defiantly food for thought. Hopefully none of us ever have to test that theory!!!

View attachment 31746 just got the rogue today on my way home from work! being an ex motocross racer and riding sport bikes in the past it's much more comfortable and feels right for me I like it! :whoop:
Nice man, yeah I really like mine, I ended up getting a set of the longer straps and like it better, gives it more room to pull away from your face when it's a little warmer.

the adjustments seem to work for me if not where did u get extensions? I'm sure once my better half tries it in she will want one too! the dealer near me was having 25% off so at least got some $ off
Got them on Amazon but do a serch for bell rogue muzzle straps and you'll see them. Depends on what size helmet you got, I think the xl and 2x already come with the longer straps, I take a medium so mine came with shorts. Looks like a good deal, I could find anyone that had the matte discounted at the time.

Been riding a Roadstar for awhile now (has a windshield) and I have been using a half helment and recently moved to a 3/4 with a shield. On the Roadie I have no issues. On the Chopper it is a different story. At highway speed it really blows my head around and the helmet becomes a parachute. I noticed a few of you ride full face. Does it help with the wind or some other reason. No helmet is not an option. I am not a big fan of spending 500 for a helmet so not looking for a Shoei or Arai. I know there are others that are just as good without the significantly high price tag. I do a lot of outdoor stuff and like everything there is a sweet spot of value vs function.

Thanks.
There is no such helmet if you exclude Arai. It is hands down a galaxy better than the rest. Personally I/we don't wear helmets unless we are going for long rides and want the Bluetooth to communicate, listen to music, hear the GPS, ETC ETC...... If I have to wear a full face it will be an Arai, no ifs or butts about it. You can afford a BDM = You can afford an Arai!
