I get about 11000 to 14000 out of my 300 tires, as far as a hole in tire and can you repair it yes, you need to dismount the tire, and inspect it, If the hole is say from a nail in the tread area and has not torn up the tire just a hole loosing air, you can patch it, I used a patch on the inside that also has a plug in center of it that you pull thought hole. I agree most tire places will not patch because were is some liability, and they want to sell you another 200 or 300 tire. you can get a new 300 on line for 200 to 250 delivered, but you have to install, takes me about one hour. I do replace front tire if it gets a hole, it is harder to patch and a problem with front tire is harder to control.

Well, thanks for all the replies guys. Just got back from the dealer and what a bunch of shit! NEVER AGAIN, at least with that dealer. Deliver bike 930 AM, they dismount tire, then tell me they don't have the right tire. I go another 60 miles to another dealer to get tire myself, return with tire. Two hours later, they tell me they can't balance the tire! WHAT THA FUCK!!! Now my nuts are swollen. I tell them, mount the damn tire and give me my damn bike. I delivered the tire to them at 11:45 AM, didn't leave until 4:15 PM. They apologized and asked if I would return. I said, Sure.....right after hell freezes over and the devil gives out free blow jobs!
I am now leaning to wards the saying someone has on here, (Why pay someone else to fuck up your bike for you!)

Not unusual though. When mine was replaced in Daytona the large dealer there didn't have a balancing machine at all and they used a manual device and put 17 1/4oz weights on my rear wheel.

I now just use the dyna beads. Thats all you need. :D

No balance? just order some dyna beads and put them in. They work for mine, smoothed it right out.

Who says that? Crazy huh!

Could have removed the rim yourself and then only $25-$30 to swap the tire.

22k on the rear. she's about done.
Yeah, it was pushing it but it wasn't down to the bottom of the grooves yet. My current tire has about 17 I think and is just getting to the wear indicators.

They wear good for me for some reason.
