Headwinds that made our headlights for years has came out with an inexpensive alternative to Plasma bulbs and such.
For just $99 you can have a simple little HID light. Note it is just a single bulb it seems.

HEADWINDS ADDRESSES--NIGHT BLIND?-- Headwinds, the leader in custom headlights, introduces their new High Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon Plasma/H4 Headlight Conversion kit that lights up the night! This Arc Lamp gives you 300% more light than the brightest Halogen bulb.

The light is a bluish color that is closer to daylight than filament bulbs. It also has a lifespan of 2,500 hours, five times longer that Halogen. High-energy wire harness, ballast & igniter are included. Fits bikes, cars, trucks and big rigs!

Simply install in back of your H4 headlight, plug in and go! Contact Headwinds at 626-359-8044 or email at headwinds@headwinds.com. See their website at Headwinds - The Leader in Custom Headlights Since 1992..

Single bulb $99.95/ea
This is MSRP so may be able to get some good deals on this little light elsewhere.

Just an FYI

You guys need to look on this board before jumping on a bandwagon and saying you want a group buy. And if this is just a low-beam HID, it's not as decent a product as the know HID kit most have bought.

Wh have a proven alternative made FOR BigDog. And It has both high (non HID) and low HID beams. This one looks like high only.

I have one from Low Down Chop Shop and it works great.
HID Kit H4 6000K BIG DOG ONLY - Low Down Chop Shop

Not saying anything is wrong with this kit, just trying to say, this is not the only one available. Plus you really want a high and low beam for the sake of safety inspections as well as avoiding any ECH problems.

For starters I can sell you that kit pictured for $69. It is a standard large ballast that won't fit most bikes, and WILL NOT even come close to fitting in a BDM headlight bucket or work with the EHC. That ballast is about 8 times larger than the Digital Micro Ballast that I sell. Also it is a low beam only, and it also looks like it doesn't just plug into the stock H4 plug because it only has male spades crimped on it. That kit is only good for a sport bike at best and even then it would be hard to find room to mount that ballast. It is big!!!

I am willing to work out a Group Buy on my HID kit for the Big Dogs if we can get at least 10 guys together, and the more, the better the price.

You would have your choice of 6000K (brightest), 8000K, or 10000K color spectrums for the same price.

Let me know! :2thumbs:

Are we going with the 8k kit from Chop Shop? Count me in, but let me qualify that by saying the price makes the final determination.
