Does anyone have the hole circle diameter dimension for the inner headlight secure ring with the three holes in it?

Want to make a good strong tool that won't bend.

Or know where you can get this tool. From Bigdog PP? 261000004-00, TOOL, SPANNER WRENCH HEADLIGHT, $19.00 No damn pictures!!!

i have one. It came in a kit with the trim ring and gaskets from BDP. Don't know where you can just get the tool. Maybe BDP. It doesn't look like that though.

I used a very small flat drift pin and slowly hit it till it turned by hand. I had it off twice and did not have a problem.

This one? Opps your picture did not come up the first time I saw thread Jake has this

BDMridgeback? That's what I'm looking for. The round disc style. I'll PM him.

UPDATE 10/14:
Designed a circular disc style tool with three steel dowel pins pressed into it and a 1/2" square drive in the center for a ratchet. It it works well and the dimensions are good I'll post the drawing for it.

Hey Rob,
too bad you aren't down the road anymore - I could have used your spanner wrench! I used two nail sinks, some spray lube and some grunting to get the ring off (my headlight has a film inside the lens and looks dull).

I use a small drift pin the first time I took it out. Clean the threads good and apply vaseline or a silicone grease to the threads during the install. Will be easier to come out next time. Plus it will seal it up better if water would happen to get in there.
