At least in many models. Before getting too violent remember the tiny bolt under the light!

OK got that part. Just needed a little more tapping. Now the next problem...why won't the damn high beam come on. It was just working on my old light bulb.

Yes it's threaded. There is a special tool that can be used to remove it but some have luck gently spinning it out with a punch and gentle tapping. I tried that...after lots of cursing and a couple skinned knuckles I jumped online and ordered a whole new Adjure bucket and lamp. Never was able to get that dam thing apart, eventually cut the bucket and found the reatining ring and bucket had coroded themselved together pretty good.

If you still have the beauty ring , I am missing the 6" one off my Pitbull.

Pretty sure I ditched the whole thing during last years spring cleaning. I'll keep you in mind when I get back into the garage and start this years cleaning. Recovering from back surgery (successful!) at the moment. :D

I had to take light assem. off, I turn up and put penetrating oil all around and let it sit. after a little it all came apart easier. mine has two screw on rings and two very small set screws on bottom side - set screws first then rings.

Looking forward to retirement
When you get to the inside ring get 2 seperate small Allen wrenches and insert them 180* apart in the holes. That helps unbind it easier than using 1. And yes when you go back together use anti seize!

I got the ring out. The problem I'm having now is the high beam won't turn on. It worked fine with the old bulb which had the low beam burned out, but now with the new bulb the low beam stays on and the high beam won't turn on.

Negative but I will go do that. The bulb visually looks good. I'll check power. I assumed I would. I'm also wondering if the ehc needs time to reset like a car computer since it had the error code from the burned out bulb?

I would have thought if anything needed reseting, it would have by time you got the retaining ring off and it back together...:D

Can you see the ehc....when I changed my bulb the ehc did not have to reset.

With the new bulb in, is the red light on your ehc blinking fom one to another?
