headlight problems

I have a 07 mastiff my headlight was hit by a rock so I replaced it bout a month ago has been working fine til this week...... i turn on bike (low beam is on) as soon as I start too ride or I rev the bike it switches to high beam?? the low beam is still ok I can stop and switch it and it will do it over and over?? bought a new bulb same deal??? any thoughts thanks

Check the bulb socket for melting on the wire contacts or bad contact wires and look for wiring problems in the bucket. The BDM EHC will switch from low beam to high beam when it senses very low to NO current flow in the low beam circuit.

Sounds like a wire contact issue due to its intermittent contact when reving the engine (vibration).

I had the same issue, for me it was that I was tightening the inner ring correctly; however it would loosen when you would throttle hard the lense would vibrate causing the low beam to switch to high. I now have double rings. Make sure it is good and tight and well seated.

Similar problem but no elec issues. The back ring (ring behind the lamp) came lose/off track allowing the lamp to spin in turn twisting all the wiring. Fortunately no damage to wiring but certainly left un-noticed probably would have had similar issue stated on this thread.

Aligned back ring with lamp notches tightened down front ring. Then tightened down trim ring..good to go.
