Headlight problem

Tried to take out The beauty ring on a 2007 bulldog. Cannot get off tried everything next is a hammer and chisel. But in the process of trying to take off the beauty ring. I tried to see if I blew out the bulb I checked to see if the Bulb was still working . Now I have no power to nothing just 4 way flashers what did I do wrong?

Just get your headlight apart first, it's probably grounding out to the bucket now after all the wrestling you've been doing. It's unfortunately not uncommon to see someone silicone the beauty ring because they either lost the set screws or stripped them. Or could just be dirt over time because who takes apart their headlight to clean their bike? If headlight works you wouldn't normally ever touch it.

Might have the original plastic connector which may have melted causing the ground out or it may have just came unplugged. A ceramic plug will fix that problem when you get you the new headlight housing.

hopefully you've gotten your headlight assembly apart, but the first time years ago I had to take mine apart I ended up being able to get it unscrewed by using patience and a lot of penetrating oil once you get the outer ring off you know there's a ring inside and there's actually special tool for it but with soaking it with penetrating oil and using a very small screwdriver I was able to tap it off and reinstall, remember there's two set screws usually on the bottom that you have to remove they're very small and pay attention which holes they come from because I believe there's more than two holes
