where do we get these bulbs at..do we have to order them from dealer,and how bout them PIAA super plasma bulbs,do they stock them in any stores???? my headlite bulb blew out on the ride home tonite from hooters...luckily i was riding with 2 guys.....

Just a regular H-4 bulb available at any auto center. There are long threads on here about members using the PIAA bulbs and liking them.

Yell if you have problems getting into that bucket! :D

thanks guys,i read all the threads prior to partaking the obstacle at hand therefore givin me the knowledge and wisdom provided me from this fine establishment....I aint tryin to phuck nuthin up!!!!!!! and the light seperated as though moses himself had parted the red sea!!!!!!!:2thumbs:
now part 2 of my question is with the PIAA bulbs,does that light bulb get almost as bright as the HID kit that is for sale on here???????chopper dave i like the cleanliness of your set-up

no...the HID is alot brighter from what I have seen on Jakes thread....someone will chime in on the HID kit.......but the PIAA is alot brighter than the stockie bulb....I could tell the difference when I first changed mine out...

The stock H4 bulb is roughly about 890 Lumen output.

The PIAA bulb will be about the same. They have a little hotter filament but then they coat the glass that drops the lumen output back down to about what a normal H4 bulb is. The stock bulb draws about 5 amps of current and the HID kit draws 3.5 amps.

The 6000K HID kit is 2800 Lumen output
The 8000K HID kit is 2400 Lumen output
The 10000K HID kit is 1800 Lumen output

That should answer your question! :2thumbs:

Don't attempt to do a high wattage aftermarket bulb (80 or 100 watt), it will more than likely cook the EHC.
