I'm headed to Sturgis in the morning from Oklahoma. I just noticed my inspection cover on the primary has a crack in it. Does anyone know if Baker will have a booth there or where I could find one? Its for a 2008 Big Dog K9. Thanks for any help.

Do this, remove inspection cover. Go to auto part store. Get brake cleaner, aggesive sand paper and JB weld quick cure. Remove the inspection plate and clean the inside of the plate with brake cleaner. This is a great degreaser. Then rough up the inside of the plate with the sand paper. Re clean plate again with brake cleaner and wipe clean. Mix JB quick set and put a lite coat covering the back of the plate, watch your bolt holes. Let dry for 2 hrs. Then sand around edge and remount in the morning. Should make the whole trip. Pm me when you get back and I'll send you my cover.

I will try that. I just put silicone around it. I figure I will get in touch with Baker on Monday and have one sent over night unless someone has one between here and there. Thank You very much for the knowledge.

I will take you on with your bondo crap. Look ma, no leaks! Either you buy a tube of goop or a AAA tow card. I'll get to where I'm going with a tube, my jr. cub wannabee Meguyveer how-glue book. Same clean, none oiled surface for best results before applying...

Singed,

Home he does not endorse or am paid for thishit, "but it's good shit, mrs. cresskey." Cure time is 24 hours, say a week before it dries internally you could hang off the glue with a rope, that or let the oil have at it.

Would have to be Tig welded
Be careful on the Tig weld. If you overheat it could loose it's shape by warping due to infusing a stress factor. Do the JB weld. That will get you there. Bet you a coke you will find a new cover there and like I said I have one here I'll ship you when you return.

Sven: WTF do you smoke?

Bet you a coke you will find JB in the primary getting all chewed up. Whereas, dishit takes a crane operator to remove the glue.

Tesla exhaust fumes.
You do understand you let the HB weld harden 12 hrs! JB weld does not break back down into a liquid, roughing the surface gives it a plyable surface to attach to, I have had to do this patch to a chain box on a drilling rig to finish a well before I could stop for proper repairs to be made and not one grain of the JB weld came off. And the rig ran for 30-35 days with the patch in place! Also JB weld once hardens resist petroleum products! Hell there the only company that makes a true fuel tank patch kit!
