Yep don't buy it.....I bought one at harbor freight for $9.99 worked fine.

Just crimp it all the way to close and just due a little tug test on each crimp. The WP you get sent should have the barrell plugs those are the easiest to crimp.

I agree but I soldered all my Deutsch connections also.
That tool cost is ridiculous

I drilled a round hole in a pair of needle nose pliers ..... the same diameter as a crimped connector .... ground down the nose a bit on the pliers to give it a nice rounded tip .... thing works great ....

I bought a deutsch crimper from these Crimp Supply: Deutsch Tools

It's still about $200, but if you're crimping with any sort of regularity, it's worth it to know the wire's never going to pull out. They have the terminals too.

Solder and shrink.

1. The neck is never crimped.
2. The end piece can be reused.
3. The crimp has a big sleeve on it like your bike looks like it has her peas.
4. The multi size shrink tubing can be doubleye'd over like you can wear two condoms and now the bike looks clean of all those STD looking all plastic crimps&chips anshit.

I have the actual deutsch pliers I use them on vehicles we rewire at work I would consider loaning them out as long as they are returned when you are done. I have both sets for open and closed end terminals just need to know which you would need the closed ends are the expensive ones over $400
